Global Intercultural Experience Cookie Drive

Every year, the Kootenay Lake International Program supports a Global Intercultural Experience course that combines social justice, cultural awareness and humanitarian projects and learning. The course is run by Homestay Teacher Manager Kathi Knapik.

One of the many humanitarian projects that the students participate in is the Cookie Drive, where cookies baked by family and student volunteers are dropped off at community organizations that support families in need. This year, 3645 cookies were baked and distributed to families to enjoy.
